Time for Social Media Detox

Are you checking  your social media handles too often?, I mean whenever  you come up with the thought of keeping your phone aside and do other necessary  work and suddenly  out of blue you get a urge of checking  your notifications  from your social profiles.

So come people   today am going to tell you a story  about  a 22- year old girl name 'Rosie',
Rosie said: " Today , I posted a pic in my FB handle but only 71 of them liked my post , what's wrong with me,  on the other hand ,day before yesterday,  Emily posted her picture and likes were above 135, I think she is more pretty.Sigh.
Alarm clock rings at 11 am Rosie wakes up , oh God , today also am late, and then again starts seeing notifications,  then she saw a photo , Oh God its Ron and his friends,  all those drama champions of my college classes,  where did they go yesterday,  no I think  I am missing  out something more, she said to herself. So anyone can simply point out she was also suffering from FOMO , days passed by and literally got addicted to all those feelings which her 'lovely' social media handles gave to her .Times passed by now she becomes happy  when something good related to her profiles  takes place and gets easily depressed  when the amount of likes and comments she wants in her post  to take place doesn't  happens Finally,  one day she had talk about this with Isabella , her cousin ,she advised her to talk about  all this with psychologist , Dr. Robert, and when she went to the doctor , she was diagonised with severe depression which was a gift from her addiction  to all her social media handles".

So, its high time people let us not bound and measure everything according to how many likes , good comments and followings we are getting in our social media posts and accounts. Its a place where everyone will give you false hope and will just please you, will be good to you,  but will not show you the real world which is far more difficult and not so nice.

It's absolutely ok to use social media for approximately 2hours per day ,but more than that is somewhat harmful and can lead to several behavioral disorders and can also cause self-doubt regarding oneself.
When we spend our times on social media reading certain comments can elevate our mood so easily and vice-versa  , but its not the thing , your 'not well-wishers ' can also give you false hope by just posting a false comment, so come on guys and do not get so much distracted, so easily and do not fail to realize how some people actually are,its a place where you should not take things personally and make it your world.
So, now come to the fact ,the actual steps we should follow to Digital Detox: -
First and the foremost thing turn off your notifications, cause you don't need to be available every single minute., Secondly think about the distractions and harms it can cause.
Now, am suggesting you a trick please set a phone  wallpaper which makes you remember about your promises. Don't make your phone as your bedtime partner ,keep it on a table having atleast a good amount of distance from your bed  and get yourself a real alarm clock  to set alarm.
Set time limits on your apps and finally practice meditation. People we can use phone to find information and study, rather than wasting your valuable time by scrolling social media ,practice these habits for first one week and track your performance, if you are able to follow atleast upto 80% ,reward yourself you are doing very good.

Spend your time by doing your hobbies and working on your passions. Do not waste time dreaming of your dreams rather devote time to your work ,rather than procrastinating by using social media.
Finally I am recommending you a documentary, its beautiful you can watch it ,"The Social Dilemma",its available on Netflix, its really amazing.

So, am concluding with this, all the best, am sure you will be successful in your attempts. May God Bless you. Stay blessed and happy.

Love & regards,
